Jalanga Crescent sits within the curving Bandjalong Crescent corridor of Aranda, a suburb noted for its bush setting and the large native eucalypts that were retained during development. Like the rest of the area, the street carries an Aboriginal‑tribal name, adding a cultural layer to the leafy streetscape that backs onto Black Mountain Nature Park.

Residents benefit from a bicycle path along Bindubi Street that links into Canberra’s wider bike network, a pedestrian bridge over Belconnen Way to Bruce, and ACTION bus 32 for direct trips to Civic and Belconnen Town Centre. Within walking distance are Aranda Primary School (0.2 km) and St Vincent’s Catholic School (0.5 km), a newly leased local shop with a café and outdoor seating, and the larger Jamison Centre (1 km) offering supermarkets, medical services and other retail amenities.
