Hume, ACT 2620
Overview
Hume is a light‑industrial suburb on the edge of Canberra, named after explorer Hamilton Hume, with its streets honoring Australian industrialists and businessmen. The 2021 Census recorded 395 residents – a rise from six in 2006 – driven primarily by the construction of the Alexander Maconochie Centre. Because the prison dominates the population, 92.7 % of permanent residents are male, and the suburb contains little residential development.Streets in Browse land in ACT, Hume
