Findon Place sits within the Canberra suburb of Isabella Plains in the Tuggeranong district, a residential area bounded by the major arteries of Isabella Drive, Drakeford Drive, Johnson Drive and Ashley Drive. Streets here are drawn from New South Wales parish names, creating a uniform streetscape that links the neighbouring suburbs of Monash, Bonython, Richardson and Calwell.

The surrounding drives give straightforward car connections to the wider ACT, while a small shopping centre on the corner of Ellerston Avenue and Galloway Street supplies a supermarket, hairdresser, pathology clinic, chemist and takeaway outlet. Community amenities include the senior campus of St Mary MacKillop College, Isabella Plains Primary and Early Childhood schools, a neighbourhood oval and a shared neighbourhood centre with a doctor’s surgery and playgroup facilities.
