Acacia Gardens lies 40 km north‑west of Sydney’s CBD, nestled in the City of Blacktown and the Greater Western Sydney region. Recognised as a suburb in 1996, its name celebrates the native acacia trees that give the area a semi‑rural feel, while street names echo a floral theme. At the 2021 census the community numbered 3,668 residents, with just over half born in Australia and significant Indian and Filipino communities, reflected in the range of languages spoken at home. A network of nearby reserves, including Waite Reserve, Lady Penhryn Park, Peridot Park and Twin Willow Reserve, offers open space for family picnics, walking and outdoor recreation.
