Arakoon is an eastern suburb of South West Rocks in Kempsey Shire, New South Wales. At the 2021 census it recorded 445 residents. Originally the settlement that became South West Rocks, the area now features a compact collection of homes set against historic sites such as Trial Bay Gaol on Cardwell Street and the Smoky Cape Lighthouse on Lighthouse Road.
Residents enjoy a relaxed coastal lifestyle with a small café, a caravan park and easy access to nearby beaches, North Smoky Beach, South Smoky Beach and Green Island, as well as natural attractions like Big Smoky mountain and Saltwater Lagoon.
