At the 2021 Census the combined population of Bullaburra and its neighbour was about 1,300. The town sits on the Main Western railway line and Great Western Highway, and is served by Bullaburra railway station on NSW TrainLink’s Blue Mountains Line as well as the 690K bus linking Springwood to Katoomba.
