A 1998 greenfield plan rezoned 140 ha for mixed‑use development, targeting around 1,700 homes and a retail hub. Construction began on 477 lots and a $6.2 million centre that now includes a Woolworths supermarket and Harrigan’s Irish pub.
Local lifestyle options include Blue Gum Hills Regional Park, Booth Park and the Sugar Valley Library Museum, while Edgeworth Public Library and nearby primary schools at Edgeworth and Edgeworth Heights add education and community services.
