Coolah sits in the central western part of New South Wales within Warrumbungle Shire, with 1,290 residents recorded in the 2016 Census. Set against the Liverpool Range and Coolah Tops National Park, the town enjoys a rural lifestyle framed by sheep and cattle grazing and cropping along the Talbragar and Coolaburragundy River valleys.
