Overview

Forster is a coastal town on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, set on traditional Worimi land and linked to its smaller twin, Tuncurry, by the 1959 Coolongolook River bridge. With 14,187 residents recorded in the 2021 census, the town enjoys a humid subtropical climate, warm summers and mild winters, and easy access to white‑sand beaches such as Main, Burgess and One Mile, as well as nearby reserves like Kenrose and Friendship.
