Overview
Hill Top is a northern village of the Southern Highlands in Wingecarribee Shire, New South Wales. It lies about 17 km from Mittagong and roughly 10 km from the Hume Highway via Colo Vale, offering straightforward road links. The former Main Southern Railway passed through the town; the old Hill Top station platform remains after the line was realigned in 1919 and closed in 1978. At the 2021 census the population was 2,792.
Local amenities include a pizzeria, bakery, chemist, general store, liquor outlet, real‑estate office and GP surgery, plus a post office, tennis courts, sporting fields, daycare, primary school, fire station, church and community hall.
