Oolong is a quiet locality in southern New Queensland, New South Wales, positioned on the historic Main South railway line between Gunning and Bowning, a section that opened on 3 July 1876. Today the community benefits from direct access to the Hume Highway, linking the town with larger centres such as Goulburn and Yass, while the former railway station, which operated from 1890 until its closure in 1972, remains a reminder of the area’s transport heritage.
