Overview

Ciccone is a compact industrial suburb on the eastern fringe of Alice Springs, sitting directly beside the Stuart Highway. With a modest community of about 255 residents recorded in the 2016 census, the suburb is largely dedicated to light industry, while a small pocket of housing occupies the north‑western side. The area rests on the traditional Country of the Arrernte people and carries the legacy of early Italian pioneers Pasquale “Patsy” and Antonia Ciccone, who established local mines in the 1920s‑30s.
