Overview

Gillen is a residential suburb of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, set on the traditional country of the Arrernte people. Named after telegraphist and station master F.J. Gillen and the nearby Mt Gillen, the suburb was officially designated in 2007, with its boundaries approved on 8 March 2007. A local highlight is the Central Australian Aviation Museum, which showcases the region’s aviation heritage.
