Overview

Ludmilla is a northern inner suburb of Darwin, set on the traditional country and waterways of the Larrakia people. Predominantly residential, it is often linked with the adjacent inner‑Darwin suburbs of Parap, Fannie Bay and Stuart Park, and it is home to the indigenous Bagot community. The suburb’s name derives from Ludmilla Creek, itself named by surveyor Gustav Sabine after early German immigrant Ludmilla Holtze.
