Malak is a northern suburb of Darwin, developed mainly in the 1970s and 1980s as a family‑oriented residential area. It offers extensive parkland such as Malak Park, Rosella Park and Grebe Park, and hosts three schools – Darwin Adventist School, Malak Primary School and Sanderson Middle School – for local children. The suburb also houses the Northern Territory divisional headquarters of the Australian Red Cross.
