Archerfield is a mixed‑use suburb in Brisbane’s south, home to 533 people according to the 2021 census. Bounded by Oxley Creek to the west and Beaudesert Road to the east, the area is dominated by Archerfield Airport, which occupies the centre and south‑west. Apart from the airport, most land is industrial, with two modest residential pockets, one in the north and another in the east, giving the suburb a sparsely populated, convenient character.
Residents enjoy easy access to the airport for regional travel and to major road links such as Beaudesert Road and nearby Metroad 7. The Archerfield Wetlands, bordering the airfield, provide 150 ha of parkland with walking and cycling trails, playgrounds and picnic facilities. Heritage sites, including God’s Acre Cemetery, the historic airport terminal, and the Second World War Igloos, add a sense of history, while primary and secondary schools are readily reachable in neighbouring Rocklea, Coopers Plains and Sunnybank.
