Bonogin is a rural hinterland locality on the edge of the Gold Coast, about 81 km south of Brisbane. The 2021 Census recorded 4,896 residents, many of whom live on acreage parcels created when former farms were subdivided in the 1980s, offering a blend of spacious homes and natural surroundings. Its setting includes the Bonogin Creek corridor, Davenport Park and active bush‑care groups that preserve local flora and lead community‑led creek restoration.
