Overview

South Nanango is a quiet rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, sitting 400–450 m above sea level. In the 2021 census it recorded 893 residents. The lower, well‑watered ground supports grazing cattle, while the higher eastern and southern sections are covered by the South Nanango State Forest, giving the area a blend of agricultural open‑space and native woodland.
