Takura is a quiet rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, home to 553 residents according to the 2021 census. The community enjoys immediate access to the Takura Environmental Reserve, where three kilometres of walking trails wind through native bushland supporting over 190 plant species and 57 bird species, including the vulnerable Black‑breasted Button‑quail.
