The property is about 4 km south of Beenleigh and roughly 36 km south‑east of Brisbane’s central business district. Both locations are easily reachable by car via the surrounding road network.

Windaroo is served by the Translink 565 bus route, which runs from the suburb’s south end to Loganholme busway station and stops at Beenleigh railway station. This provides connections to the broader Queensland public transport system.

Nearby amenities include Windaroo Lakes Golf Club with an 18‑hole course, Windaroo Memorial Peace Park, Kaiser Drive Park, and the local Rugby Union Club. These sites are within a few kilometres of the property, offering a range of outdoor activities.

Windaroo was named after a 19th‑century sugar plantation and remained largely rural until the late 1970s when the Windaroo Acres estate was subdivided. The suburb was officially named and bounded on 1 June 1981 and became part of the City of Logan in 2008.

According to the 2021 census, Windaroo had 2,771 residents, with a median age of 40 years, slightly above the national median. About 76 % of residents were born in Australia and 93.7 % speak only English at home.

The suburb is bounded to the north by Windaroo Creek, to the east by the Albert River, to the south by Bannockburn Road, and to the west by Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road. These features give the area a mix of watercourse and road borders.
