The 2021 Census recorded 4,022 residents, reflecting steady growth that followed the development of new housing subdivisions on Kropp Road and Ironbark Drive in 2010‑11. Although the historic Kilcoy railway line closed in the early 1960s, the town remains well‑connected by road and retains a heritage railway museum at the former Woodford station.
