Overview

Yarraman is a rural town in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, set in a fertile valley 181 km northwest of Brisbane at the junction of the New England and D’Aguilar highways. At the 2021 census the locality recorded 1,127 residents. The community benefits from a strong agricultural heritage, producing timber, grain, beef and dairy, that now backs a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by the Bunya Mountains and the Yarraman Important Bird Area, home to the vulnerable black‑breasted button‑quail.
