Overview

Yeronga sits on a gentle bend of the Brisbane River, with its western and northern borders defined by the water and a southern‑eastern edge along Ipswich Road. The former river lagoons were reclaimed as clay‑capped parks, giving the suburb generous river‑front green space, historic homes such as Wyetah and Rhyndarra, and a mix of early‑mid‑20th‑century residences that grew from the original farms and estate subdivisions. In the 2021 census the suburb recorded 7,062 residents, enjoying easy access to croquet, rugby, football and AFL facilities within the expansive Yeronga Memorial Park and nearby Goodwin Park.
