Yeronga is a quiet riverside suburb bounded by the Brisbane River to the west and north and by Ipswich Road to the south‑east. The former river lagoons have been reclaimed as expansive parkland and sports fields, giving residents plenty of open space, while the heritage‑listed homes along streets such as Orsova Road and the “O zone” add historic charm. With a 2021 population of 7,062, Yeronga enjoys strong connectivity: Yeronga railway station on the Beenleigh line provides 15‑minute suburban services to the Brisbane CBD and beyond, and three bus routes (107, 127 and 192) link the suburb directly to the city, the University of Queensland and Indooroopilly. A mix of older heritage houses and more recent residential developments surrounds the well‑established schools, Yeronga State School, St Sebastian’s Primary and Yeronga State High, offering a diverse housing stock for families, professionals and retirees alike.
