Days Road runs through the centre of Croydon Park, a largely residential suburb where most houses were built from the late 1930s onward and after World War II for returned soldiers, many on large blocks that back onto modest warehousing along Regency Road. The streetscape is animated by a cluster of Vietnamese and other Asian restaurants that have earned the corridor the nickname “Little Vietnam”.

Adelaide Metro’s 230 bus serves Days Road, complemented by routes on Regency, Harrison and Torrens Roads that connect the area to the CBD and Arndale Centre, while the North–South Motorway bisects the suburb for car travel. Within a short walk are Croydon Park Reserve, St Margaret Mary’s Catholic primary school and the Adelaide Secondary School of English.
