Overview

Fisherman Bay sits on the northern tip of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, within the District Council of Barunga West. The locality is split by the inlet into a small residential pocket around the Fisherman Bay South Shack Site north of Port Broughton and a larger, mostly natural area to the north that contains the Salt Swamp and the Fisherman Bay North Shack Site. Roughly 400 dwellings, many dating from the 1920s, make up the housing mix, with the land owned by the Fisherman Bay Management Company since 1974.
