Foul Bay sits on the southern coast of Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, hugging the waters of Investigator Strait about 130 km west of Adelaide. Officially named in May 1999 after the historic Foul Bay Shack Site on South Coast Road, the locality also includes the former Old Wheel Inn and Point Davenport shack sites, reflecting its modest holiday‑shack heritage.
