Green Fields lies about 13 km north of Adelaide’s CBD and is characterised by industrial warehouses and light‑industry facilities. The suburb is well‑served by Greenfields railway station on the Gawler line, positioned adjacent to Parafield Airport and 15.5 km by rail from Adelaide station. Opened in 1969, the station retains a pedestrian underpass, one of only two on the line, providing safe foot traffic for commuters.
