Kangarilla is a small rural town and locality about 33 km southeast of Adelaide’s centre, on the northern edge of the Fleurieu Peninsula near the Adelaide Hills. Settled in the 1840s, it is surrounded by farmland and vineyards, offering a quiet lifestyle with natural scenery. The name, thought to mean “a place where something is nurtured” in Kaurna, reflects its historic roots. At the 2016 census the population was 896, giving the area a close‑knit, small‑town feel.
