Overview

Old Reynella is a historic metropolitan suburb 20 km south of Adelaide’s centre, nestled in the north of the City of Onkaparinga. Named for pioneering winemaker John Reynell, the area retains its wine‑heritage roots, home to the Reynella Winery, the only Australian winery allowed to use a town’s name as its brand, and the former Hardy Wine Company site. The suburb’s village‑like centre offers community amenities such as Edge Church on the old Reynella Markets site and easy access to local schools, including the original Reynella Primary School now situated nearby.

Residents enjoy convenient public transport, with Reynella railway station just 0.2 km away, linking the suburb to Adelaide and surrounding districts. Surrounded by neighbouring suburbs like Woodcroft and Reynella East, Old Reynella blends historic charm with suburban living, making it a desirable spot for families and professionals alike.
