Murdock Street runs through the small town of Penrice in the Barossa Valley, just north of Angaston, and is framed by the town’s large limestone and marble quarry that was taken over by Adbri in July 2014.

The street once benefitted from the Barossa Valley railway line, which carried the Penrice Stone Train to the quarry, though the line has remained unused since Adelaide Brighton acquired the operation; Murdock Street lies within the Barossa Council, the state electoral district of Schubert and the federal Division of Barker.
