Renown Park is an inner‑northern Adelaide suburb in the City of Charles Sturt, bounded by South Road, Torrens Road and the Gawler railway line. Established in 1920 and named after HMS Renown, it has a young‑ish community – the 2021 Census recorded 1,663 residents with a median age of 37, slightly younger than the state average. The suburb’s population is culturally diverse, with more than half Australian‑born and notable communities from Vietnam, India and China, while 92.7 % are employed. A mix of families and professionals enjoys easy access to neighbourhood parks such as Sam Johnson Sportsground and Angus Reserve, and education is served locally by Brompton Primary School.
