Located about 511 km north of Adelaide in South Australia’s arid Far North, Roxby Downs Station enjoys a subtropical desert climate with very hot summers and mild winters. Water is sourced from the Great Artesian Basin and desalinated by the mine operators, and the area is administered by the Municipal Council of Roxby Downs under a specific Indenture Act.
