Overview

St Morris sits just east of Adelaide’s centre within the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters and has long been recognised as a middle‑class neighbourhood. The local post office, originally opened as North Norwood around 1886, was renamed St Morris in 1963 before closing in 1988. A cultural landmark, the Windsor Theatre opened on Magill Road in 1931; after its closure in 1957 the building now houses the Inspirations paint shop, preserving the suburb’s historic streetscape.
