Strathalbyn sits 60 km southeast of Adelaide on the River Angas, at the edge of the Adelaide Hills and the start of the Fleurieu Peninsula. In the 2016 Census the town was home to about 7,800 people, enjoying a village atmosphere highlighted by historic architecture and a bustling social scene that includes four pubs, a monthly Sunday market at Gilbert’s Motor Museum, and popular events such as the Duck Race, Strathalbyn Show and Street Parade with Carols by Candlelight.
