With a 2021 census population of 1,705, the community is anchored by the Coorong District Council offices, a historic town hall and the Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village – Australia’s largest pioneer museum – as well as Rogers and Pine‑Camp Parks for recreation. Recent attractions such as the Tailem Bend Solar Power Farm and The Bend Motorsport Park, just a few kilometres south‑east, add a modern leisure edge while the surrounding farmland supports pig, dairy and olive production.
