Worlds End lies 18 km southeast of Burra in South Australia, covering the area once known as Lapford. The land was traditionally Ngadjuri country; a government town was surveyed in June 1877 but never developed, with a few blocks finally sold in 1941 before the town was formally declared defunct in December 1962.
