Ambleside is a residential suburb on the south‑eastern side of the Mersey River in Devonport, Tasmania. The land lifts from the riverbank up to a sunny‑facing hill, giving homes a variety of river and hill vistas. Positioned on the left of the eastern entrance to the city, it lies just before the iconic Victoria Bridge, providing straightforward road links into Devonport’s centre.
