Austins Ferry is a residential suburb of Hobart located about 9 kilometres north of Glenorchy’s centre, with the River Derwent forming much of its eastern, northern and southern edge. The 2021 Census recorded 2,395 residents enjoying a riverside lifestyle, close to several green spaces such as James Austin Park, Roseneath Park and Weston Park, as well as the bays of Austins Ferry, Bilton and Rusts.
