Overview

Bakers Beach is a tiny rural locality in the Latrobe council area of Tasmania’s North West, set 76 km north‑west of Launceston. With just 60 residents recorded in the 2016 Census, the community enjoys a tranquil coastal lifestyle framed by the open waters of Bass Strait to the north and the Rubicon Estuary along its western edge. The shoreline gives easy access to the nearby Narawntapu National Park, while the surrounding hills, Barretts Lookout and Sheepwash Hills, provide scenic walking and lookout points.
