Overview

Birralee is a small rural settlement nestled in the Launceston region of Tasmania, straddling the Meander Valley and West Tamar councils. Located about 20 kilometres north of Westbury, the locality is bounded partly by Black Sugarloaf Creek to the south and runs alongside Four Springs Creek on its eastern edge. With a 2016 census population of 182, the area retains a quiet, close‑knit character framed by the Black Sugarloaf mountain and the nearby Bald Top summit.
