The 2016 census recorded 1 270 residents living in a loop of five main roads, Blackstone, Bayview, Kelsy, Panorama and Longvista, spanning roughly 6.5–7 km and accessed via Pitcher Parade. The South Esk River defines its western, northern and eastern boundaries, giving the suburb a semi‑rural feel while remaining an outer part of the Launceston urban area.
