Overview

Bonnet Hill is a residential locality in Kingborough, just 2 kilometres east of Kingston in the Hobart region. Perched on a prominent hill, it offers sweeping views over the Derwent Estuary, Storm Bay, South Arm and Bruny Island from the Alum Cliffs, which soar up to 30 metres above sea level. The area is favoured by cyclists, with the hill itself forming a well‑known cycling route, and a network of narrow paths leads down to nearby Kingston Beach for walking and beach‑side recreation.
