Clarence Point is a small riverside locality on the Tamar River, just 3 km southwest of George Town in northern Tasmania. The 2016 census recorded 226 residents with a median age of 56, and most of the community is settled along the riverbank, giving easy access to the Clarence Point jetty, a productive spot for recreational fishing of a wide range of saltwater species, with additional fishing locations such as Kelso and Garden Island nearby.

The settlement is traversed by the A7 (Greens Beach Road), while Routes C721 (Badger Head Road) and C722 (Clarence Point Road/Bevic Road) link the area to surrounding points and the broader West Tamar region. Housing is concentrated on the waterfront, reflecting the locality’s historic roots as a fishing and residential enclave within the West Tamar Municipal Area.
