Overview

Clarence Point is a small riverside locality on the Tamar River, just 3 km southwest of George Town in northern Tasmania. The 2016 census recorded 226 residents with a median age of 56, and most of the community is settled along the riverbank, giving easy access to the Clarence Point jetty, a productive spot for recreational fishing of a wide range of saltwater species, with additional fishing locations such as Kelso and Garden Island nearby.
