Clifton Beach sits about 25 km southeast of Hobart on the South Arm Peninsula and belongs to the City of Clarence. The suburb’s 2.1‑km‑long south‑southeast‑facing shoreline attracts surfers with its 1‑1.5 m barreling waves, although the same conditions make it one of Tasmania’s more hazardous beaches.
