Overview

Four Mile Creek is a small rural locality in the Break O’Day council area of north‑east Tasmania, situated about 38 km south of the coastal town of St Helens. Bordered by the Tasman Sea to the east, the settlement takes its name from the Four Mile Creek watercourse that winds from the south‑west to the north‑east across the landscape. With a modest community of 96 residents recorded in the 2016 census, the area offers a quiet, low‑density lifestyle surrounded by natural features such as Ironhouse Hill, Legges Sugarloaf and Old Billys Hill.
