Overview

Glebe is a small suburb on Hobart’s edge, sharing the same block of land as the Queens Domain, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and the Hobart Aquatic Centre. The north and east sides are bordered by the Botanical Gardens, giving residents easy access to green space, while the nearby TCA Ground and Hobart International Tennis Centre add sport and community options. The 2016 Census recorded 554 people, creating an intimate neighbourhood close to the city centre.

The streets feature Victorian and Federation‑style wooden terraces, many up to four storeys and prominent along Brooker Avenue.
