Hillcrest is a residential suburb of Burnie, situated about 2 km south‑west of the town centre in north‑west Tasmania. The 2016 census recorded 1,042 residents living in a mix of post‑war homes from the Terrylands estate, begun by the Agricultural Bank around 1949, and newer dwellings that extend into neighbouring Montello. Local everyday life centres on a small shopping complex with a café and takeaway and the 2.3‑ha Sampson Street Reserve, providing open space for recreation.

The suburb enjoys easy access to the Bass Highway (Route A2) which runs to the north‑east, linking residents to Burnie’s port facilities and regional road network.
