Kimberley, TAS 7304
Overview
Kimberley is a small rural town in the Meander Valley and Kentish councils, about 39 km north‑west of Westbury and roughly midway between Sheffield and Deloraine. The 2016 Census recorded 149 residents living in a scattered collection of houses centred around the historic St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, with nearby clear springs, the Kimberley Warm Springs, a white‑rock vineyard, an olive grove and a strong agricultural base of dairy, beef, lamb and cropping.
Road access is via Route B13 (Railton Road) crossing the town north‑east to north, joined by Route C156 (Bridle Track Road) from the north and Route C160 (Weegena Road) heading south from the B13 junction. The Mersey River forms much of the southern and northern boundaries, and the Dasher River Conservation Area lies close by, adding natural appeal to the relaxed, country‑living lifestyle.
Region type mix: Regional 100%.
